Random Thoughts on a Rainy Day

Late post people.. I made this entry last June 6, 2009.

June 15 will be the start of classes. It makes me wonder how I would be able to manage my time for school, family, ministry and other responsibilities. I know it’s going to be very taxing. I want to put focus on my studies and not allow myself to become abstracted by problems concerning family and financial matters. But no matter how hectic my schedule would be, I would like to be available to my family during my off-hours and give them the attention they need. I want to maintain good relationships with the people I love even if I have a lot on my plate.

I’m thrilled and at the same time a bit apprehensive to have my first hospital duty. I am not yet sure if it’s going to be on the 15th but my registration form says that I’m going to be in the hospital three days in a week (MTW) and that is from 6am to 6pm. It’s time for me to get close encounters with actual patients and apply the nursing procedures that I have learned from my clinical instructors. Some questions incessantly run through my mind lately. Who will my first patient be? What cases will I be able to handle this semester? Will I be able to apply the nursing theories and the nursing procedures correctly? Will I have a hard time wearing my duty uniform particularly when it’s raining or when I have my monthly period?

I am wondering how our life would be when my mother in law leaves for Dubai. The hubby’s siblings will be staying with us and the hubby and I will be the ones to take care of them. It’s a good thing that they have proper training and they know how to do almost all household chores. I’m praying that the Lord would grant us the wisdom and patience we need so we can give them proper guidance.

I am quite disappointed with some of the people who think they know everything about me and my family. I won’t elaborate further… I trust God and He is the only one who has the right to judge. We are all accountable to Him.
