Happy 3rd Anniversary Antioch Baptist Church!

Today, we celebrated our church’s 3rd anniversary with great joy and thankful hearts. Our family began attending Antioch Baptist Church (ABC) in November 2007 after leaving a church which I had been a member to for almost a decade. I was so attached to my previous church and I have to admit that it was really hard to let go. The fact that we need to move to another church caused me pain because I love my friends there and they’ve contributed a lot to my personal growth but later on, I realized that everything has a purpose and that God’s plans are better than my plans.

In ABC, I have seen people who do not have much but seem to have everything because of their positive outlook in life. I have seen the need to work harder to spread the gospel of Christ to our community. I have seen how the Lord is transforming my husband’s attitude towards different kinds of people. I’m blessed with how the young people of our church commit their lives in serving God. I know that the Lord called us to be there for a special reason.

Little by little, I see Him revealing His wonderful plans for us and I’m glad He’s using my husband in the music ministry of the church. It's overwhelming to see the young people of our church develop their talents and they became more passionate in worshiping and serving the Lord. I am hoping to be actively involved in the music and youth ministry of our church this year. My prayer is that our family would become a channel of blessing to our fellow believers in Antioch Baptist Church. I hope that the hubby would be an encouragement to every church member. I hope that I’ll be able to establish deep friendships with the women of our church.

Happy Anniversary ABC!

Waiting with Great Anticipation

February 25, 2009 is the release date of the movie You Changed My Life, starring Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz. It is a sequel to the blockbuster movie A Very Special Love. My family and friends know I am a huge fan of John Lloyd Cruz. Aside from being immensely talented, his passion and dedication to his job is so evident which makes me think that he is a responsible man. I also believe that he is smart and he lives a well balanced life. Even my husband knows how much I take pleasure in watching his movies and television shows. Sarah Geronimo, in my opinion, is one of the most genuine young singer/actress in our country today and I really admire her for that. I’m glad Sarah and Lloydy were given another chance to work together in a movie. I regret that I wasn’t able to watch A Very Special Love in the big screen but I did many times on DVD. This time, I’ll make it a point to watch You Changed My Life at the Cineplex with my dear friends. Call me whatever you want but I really am so excited to see the movie. =)

Zenni Optical

Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! Yes, one of my much loved online stores was cited in the New York Times’ article entitled Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank. The online store was mentioned because of its cheap eyeglasses. Zenni Optical sells Prescription eyeglasses for only $8! It is also well known for its huge selection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens.

Last night, I visited its website and again, I was able to choose another pair of eyeglasses which I like so much because of its very fashionable design and I love the frame color choices too! Truly, Zenni Optical is a place which allows people to find eyeglasses that would match their eyes as well as their outfits perfectly. Go check Zenni Optical’s website and pick your favorite pair of eyeglasses too!

This pair of eyeglasses has a medium narrow size, fashion full-rim frame with pattern temples and it’s available in Silver/Raspberry with pattern temples, or Pink/Purple with pattern temples.

I Won A New N1208 Phone!

Thank You Lord for this wonderful gift. It was November of last year when I started praying for a new cellphone so that my son will have his own phone to use when he is in school or when we're away from each other. I bought a new sim card in November because that's the only thing I am capable of buying then I asked the Lord to give me what I cannot afford. The Lord answered my prayer when I won at DKL Internet Shop's Christmas Raffle Promo last January 2, 2009. I can now get in touch with my son anytime I want to. Thanks to DKL Internet Shop! God sent me His
gift through you. You are actually the most student friendly internet shop in our area. =)

Pre Summer Prepping

Summer’s just around the corner and even if there are a lot of things that need to be done in school, I can’t help but get excited to splurge on a very short summer vacation with my family. I guess I’ll be able to have a rest on the last week of March and first week of April then summer classes will start immediately after the Holy Week. I was kind of daydreaming yesterday and in my daydream I have made a list of the things I want to do this summer. I know I’m gonna need to save some money and do some preparations to make my short vacation a meaningful and perfect one.

First thing I want to do is go to the beach! Bathe in the ocean and build a sandcastle with my son, go boating and island hopping, cook our breakfast on an outdoor fire and have a romantic sunset dinner with my husband. I’ve been browsing through different sites that might help me find a reasonably priced family travel package and I’m glad I have found a few options.

Second thing I desire to do is play badminton, volleyball or any outdoor games with my classmates and friends.

I also look forward to signing up for a youth summer camp. I am planning to attend the X-Files Summer Youth Camp in Zambales and bring my classmates along. I was able to tell the details to my classmates and they were all excited about it. I hope that this plan pushes through so that they will have a chance to hear the Word and I hope that they will be receptive and open minded.

Next thing I would like to do is read a Pharmacology book. I have been trying to get in touch with my friends who can lend me their books even just for a couple of weeks.

Lastly, I feel like buying beautiful summer dresses and blouses! So again, I window shopped online and I was fortunate to have found a few summer clothes in Forever 21, Old Navy, Kohls, Go Jane, Great Glam, 15dollarstore, Hollister, etc. Here are some of my personal choices.
