The picture above was taken last April 13, 2009 when my Grandpa and Grandma who live in the states arrived here in Manila. They went home to have a vacation in their hometown in Ilocos Norte. That day was the first day of my summer class but I decided not to go to school so I could see them before they leave for Ilocos on that same day.
After two weeks, my mom called and told me that my Grandma had a stroke. I became so worried because she’s in the province and the hospital where she was admitted might not have all the necessary medical equipments to help her improve her condition. It was my Uncle Jess who took care of her while she was in the hospital. I texted him to let Grandma know that we are praying for her and we hope she gets well as soon as possible but the Lord has a different plan. She passed away on the 3rd day of this month. All of her 8 children in the states went home. I was able to go to Ilocos and stayed there for two days.
I have mixed feelings when I arrived there. I was sad because even if I haven't been very close to her, I won't forget how thoughtful she was when she was still alive and how she helped my mom with almost all of her problems. I'll miss her cooking and the longganisa she always sends us when she's here in the country. I'll surely miss her but I'm also happy because I know she is now with her Creator. Her life had been a blessing to all of us who love her dearly. I’m proud to be her granddaughter.
I love you Grandma Fely...
Thank you for everything...
